Celebration of Saint Rita and Historical Parade
May 19 Place: Castellammare del GolfoThe Celebration of Saint Rita, May 19, is characterized by a historical parade with flag-wavers, medieval musicians, knights and nobles in medieval dresses, along the main streets of the town together with hundreds of figures representing people involved in Saint's life.

July 2013 Place: Playa Beach, Castellammare del GolfoNow in its Eighth Edition, the important youth Beach Volleyball tournament confirms Castellammare del Golfo (and its famous beach "Playa") as the regional capital of the sport.
The 2012 edition, held July 4 to 7, was attended by over 300 athletes divided into six game categories on eight different game fields, who have competed for the male and female titles under 14, 16, 18.

Summer Jazz Fest
July 2013 Place: Castello Square, Castellammare del GolfoThis year the Sixth Edition of the "Summer Jazz Festival & Workshop" was held in the enchanting location of Castello Square, with a session of fourteen performers over the seven days of the event (July 15 to 21), totally dedicated to jazz music.
Even this year's concerts were joined by music seminars, which allowed the participants to come in contact with the best jazz exponents in the world.

Patron Saint Celebration
August 19 to 21 Place: Castellammare del GolfoEvery year, the 19, 20 and 21 of August, there is the Celebration of Maria SS. of Relief, Patron Saint of Castellammare del Golfo.
The first day is characterized by an evocative "Procession to the Sea" during which the Virgin is carried by sailors along the town streets and alleys up to the "Marina" (the Harbour), then placed on a ship festively decorated and led to the sea, followed by sailors and fishermen's ships along an illuminated path.
The third day there is the "Procession to the land", starting from Mother Church along the main town streets with people singing in local dialects the Rosary dedicated to Our Lady.
The procession ends with fireworks when the Virgin gets back to the Mother Church. - SEP
PLAS - Along Ancient Stair Paths
September 2013 Place: Historical Center, Castellammare del GolfoIl Plas (Acronym of "Per Le Antiche Scale" which means "Along Ancient Stair Paths") was born to emphasise and develop sicilian traditions with a variety of artistic performances.
During the three days of festival (middle of September), the historical center of Castellammare del Golfo (especially ancient stair paths) becomes an open stage with a series of performances by street artist, theatrical performer, musicians, dancer, storyteller e artists of every kind from all over the world.
Plas Sixth Edition, held September 14 to 16, was characterized by several artistic and cultural activities, such as the installazione artistica along the whole Mattarella Avenue, the photographic exhibition titled "L'anima degli alberi" (Trees' Soul) inside Villa Margherita, the video installation "Chi focu ranni" (What a huge fire) and a concert session ended with the performance of Almamegretta.
PLAS 2012 also saw three successfull "parallel events":- "L'odore dell'attore" (Actor's smell), a theatral workshop directed by Giovanni Berretta and promoted by Arcidonna association;
- Arcidonna project "Belli Senza Trucchi" (beautiful without any make up);
- The "Cici Film Festival", second edition, with ten young film-maker who realized ten shorts in five days, all of them set up among the streets, alleys and stair paths of Castellammare del Golfo.
